Gladys Knight & The Pips were an American R&B, soul, and funk family music group from Atlanta, Georgia. The group is known for its iconic song Midnight Train to Georgia, from its 1973 album Imagination. They had previously released albums such as If I Were Your Woman in 1971 and later Neither One of Us. The group also released the hit single Neither One Of Us (Wants To Be The First To Say Goodbye) in 1973. The group appeared in the film Sesame Street: Put Down the Duckie with Danny DeVito. Gladys Knight & The Pips were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the 1990s and dissolved in 1989.
